The scriptures for the day are Genesis 42:1-17, 1 Corinthians 5;1-8 and Mark 3:19-35.
This evenings readings from the Psalms are chapters 25 and 91.

A friend posted the following C.S. Lewis quote as his Facebook status yesterday: “There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, ‘All right, then, have it your way.’”
ReplyDeleteI love good quotes. But this one sort of ate at me last night to the point of worry. Do I trust God enough? Do I say and really mean "Thy will be done?" Or am I not letting go and thinking I know better? YIKES!
This morning I read in Psalm 25 “Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
It was the "reset" button I needed.
